Quick Tip
Building Your Dream 100 List
Continuing last week's discussion about the Dream 100 concept...
Step one is obviously building your list.
It's also the step where people get stuck. So here are a few tips to get you unstuck.
First, don't get hung up on the number 100. You don't need 100 prospects before getting started.
It's perfectly fine to start with 25 - 30 names. Then commit to adding 5-10 names per week until you reach 100.
You already have some names in mind. The big fish you'd love to land. Write those down.
Next, list your top clients. At least 3. Ten is better.
Write down how much they have spent with you (this exercise alone is usually an eye-opener).
Now, start listing out answers to questions like:
- Who are they?
- How much did they spend?
- What are their goals?
- What challenges get in the way of those goals?
- Where do they get their information?
- How many staff?
- What kind of revenue?
- Anything else that is important to you
Do you see some patterns emerging in your answers? Great!
Use that those patterns to identify more prospects that look like your best buyers. Add them to your Dream 100.
That's it. Remember, the key to getting ahead is getting started (Mark Twain?).
